Lethargic, malnourished, hunched in corner.

This morning I caught her before she went downstairs. Crop is still pretty full and it was mostly solid food but I was able to massage it and move it around. Tonight I'll make her wear a crop bra. She wiggled out of it during the day on Friday but maybe it'll stay when she's roosting.

How is her demeanor? Is she any perkier? Or is she declining?

We want to see improvement, even if small. To decline in spite of treatment, indicates a greater, much more serious condition that underlies all the other symptoms and crop issues.

Yesterday she was a lot perkier. She actually ran out of the run, ran to the dropped bird seed and the water dish. She ate quite a bit too.. Egg, bread, my toddler's leftover dinner. She did rest in the back corner but was more active than the day before. Her comb looks a bit better too.

It's very good news she's feeling perkier. Could you summarize how long she's been given the anti-yeast med? What day are we on as far as the seven-day protocol?
This morning is the 5th dose, so day 3, started on Friday afternoon.

Up until Friday (and the tube feeds)she was knocking on deaths door!

The crop should be functioning a little better at this stage in treatment than it is. We should see a mostly empty crop in the morning by this time. Can you try the crop bra on her at night? We need to get the crop to empty overnight so the yeast infection doesn't have old material in the crop to remain active.

Crop bra was on all night. Forgot to close coop door, and they were all out when I got up but it couldn't have been for long. Her crop was pretty full and hard. But still pliable. About golf ball sized. It was held up very well with the bra ( it was difficult to palpate the crop but once I got a hold of it it was still really full....) darn it!!

Could she have eaten before you got to her? A golf ball size load is normal for a chicken after having just eaten. Can you segregate her for the next couple hours in a cool place and withhold food and water during this period? Keep the bra on her. After two hours, if the gold ball lump is still there, then we need to figure out why.
