Our girl Pollo Sapphire Gem Pullet, about 18-20 weeks old, is not feeling well. She's our lead hen, so usually very vocal, very curious, and friendly. Yesterday my wife noticed she was being somewhat lethargic, laying down mostly and not moving around the run when my wife went in there. She noticed her bottom feathers moving in and out like her vent was pulsating. Thought maybe she was set to lay her first egg, but this morning we noticed some weird poop (first picture). Looked like chopped up sausages or grapes, very spongy. My wife took a sample to the vet she used to work with and they did not see coccidia. But we already started a corrid treatment in everyone's water. the vet prescribed my wife some oxytetracycline to treat the water for all the chickens, thought maybe it was a bacterial infection. That was going to start tomorrow. But she didn't get any better today, so this evening we decided to isolate her from the other 4 chickens, put her in our bathtub. Thinking it might be ve.t gleet my wife checked and to me doesn't look crazy bad (second picture). Got her inside and in the tub. Gave her waterer, a bowl of food, a bowl of fruit to get more fluids (hot and humid in middle Tennessee right now). After an hour or so checked on her, noticed watery bloody poop (third picture). Her face color is changing from pale to red. Comb changing slightly, but face around her eyes is changing regularly. At a loss of what to do now, any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.

Keep treating her for cocci, blood in poo may also be a sign of worms so you may want to deworm her. I don't know if you can give Corid and dewormer at the same time though.

Thank you for the advice. So we noticed yesterday morning her crop felt like it had stuff in it. My wife took more poop to the vet and didn't see any parasites, worms or coccidia. My wife's vet friend (who also owns chickens), told us what to do to clear her crop. Did that, it was gross, but let Pollo stay in the tub for another night. Everything looked good this morning, crop seems clear still so put her back in with her sisters. Still running through the antibiotics we got for the next few days, and adding some more grit to their food. Hopefully it all works out 🤞

How is your pullet?
Sorry for the late response. So she's doing great now. After we got the sour crop grossness out of her she really perked up. Back to normal all this week, continued with antibiotics (yesterday was the last day), AND we got our first egg!!! Probably from her too, because her feathers have been all over that nesting box the last few days. We won't eat the egg, due to the antibiotics, but really eggscited!

That's good to hear!
