Lethargic pullet, sick, depressed, what?

Our feed store does have Tylan, I will get some tomorrow. I will try to get a picture of her eye, we don't have a smartphone so it's cumbersome to get pictures to computer...Will Tylan be harmful if she doesn't have the respiratory infection?

We don't really have a vet, well we do for our cats but I bet she wouldn't sell me an antibiotic. I might have a doxycycline from a cat medication we didn't use...

One doxycycline capsule probably wouldn’t help. Giving the Tylan would not harm her. It would be like taking an antibiotic for something that turned out to be a virus, but if it was bacterial, it might really help. You can just see how it gets along without it.

I think? we have turned the bend with the coccidiosis, on Day 5 of dosing water and Day 3 of drench dose. She is eating well and stools were blood free overnight, but more to the point she seems way less lethargic and is definitely trying to get out of her rubbermaid tub prison. The eye is now the problem. I think what I thought was gooeyness on her back from a peck injury is actually mattering from this one eye, which she rubs on her back (because no hands, right?) It must itch or bother her in some way. It definitely looks like well, conjunctivitis.
I'll admit I am a little scared of the oral dosing, what if I put it down her trachea? Would using a neomycin ointment on her eye, if it is localized (and she does not have labored breathing or show other signs of a respiratory illness) work? She does open the affected eye a little now, but it is so red and inflamed looking, poor girl. She is very brave.

Could I put Tylan 50 in water? Along w/Corid? Do drops on her beak rather than the oral down the throat dose?

Tylan dosage is fairly small—1/4 ml per pound 2-3 times a day. You can safely put 1/4 in her beak, and let her close the beak and swallow, then repeat. Or give it with a syringe as in the peafowl link. Do not mix more than one med in water. You may also put the tylan in a treat than you are sure she will eat. I have used Friskies canned cat food pate for dosing all my animals when necessary. Egg works well if they are hungry and eating.

As it turned out TSC didn't have Tylan 50 (just 200, and it was $75) so I ordered it and should get it tomorrow. She still holds her eye shut mostly and acts like it itches/hurts, and it is mattering some still. Not as red.
We did 5 days of drench dose of Corid plus in her water but today (first day no drench) I noticed a little bit of what looked like blood in a stool. Should we continue with the Corid high dosage? Behavior wise, she is active and eating. I think she is bored living in a dog crate in the laundry room...she seems to sleep a lot.
