Lethargic silkie that just laid a very soft egg.

My alpha silkie has been hanging by herself. Mainly laying in the dirt. I let them out in the yard and she isn't interested. I gave them a hard boiled egg and she just stood in the midst of them. I put her in the kennel to prepare a isolation coop for her and in a few minutes she had laid a soft, leaking egg. I let her out and she still just roams by herself and seems lost. I have isolated her. They get layer feed and sometimes calcium. It's a beautiful day. The only thing that I can think of is maybe she ate a poison mushroom. We have had lots of rain. She was normal and aggressive all weekend and yesterday. I felt something was off when she wasn't with the group. Also, she was a year old in April. I have her separated. Just looking for any ideas. If she is alive and still not well tomorrow, I will call the vet.

I've never had this but I hope she gets better. Yes, its a good idea to isolate her and maybe give her a check-up and see if there's anything wrong on the outside.

Thank you. I have googled everything on the soft egg. Nothing fits. She is off. Not scrambling for treats or foraging with the others. Then to drop a soft egg in the kennel in a matter of minutes was weird. I let her out for a bit with the girls and this time she went into nesting box and layed down. So, I have her separated. My only thoughts are is it is something she ate.

Just a thought...Could I have accidentally fed my adult chickens medicated feed? I have chicks in a separate shed but both feeds are in my shed. If I gave them medicated feed, it would explain the soft egg. Could medicated feed make an adult chicken ill? I noticed Saturday that they barely touched their feed. So, I threw it out. Maybe, I gave them medicated. She is the smallest of the bunch but has always been the alpha.

Thank you. I go to work at 4:30 in the morning but on my lunch break, I will run home. I think I will try giving her some more hard boiled eggs then. Hoping this is it. I think maybe that is what I did .😥
