I have a Barred Rock Hen that my wife and I hatched out this past September. Yesterday we noticed she was quite lethargic. Today when we went to check on the chickens she was standing down with her head tucked deep into her shoulders, not moving. We had to pick her up to put her on the roost. I felt her crop, and it feels slightly larger than a golf ball.
My wife and I watched her on the ground for a little while and she would move her head side to side. And would not really walk. I also noticed tonight that she has lost some weight. She has not been vaccinated. But the rest of the chickens and the flock have been. IMG_20180203_171944.jpg IMG_20180203_171919.jpg

Wife here, we threw down some mealworms for the girls tonight. We noticed that she went up to where we threw them down and started pecking around, but she never actually connected with a mealworm.

Poo doesn't not have to be bloody for it to be Coccidiosis.
I would start her on Corid today.

We started the hen on corid and electrolytes right away. This is the second day and she is still here. However when I went to syringe feed her the water with corid, she pooped. This is what it looked like:

I am not a chicken expert. But I know this isn't normal.
