Lethargic Welsh girl this morning

This really stinks! Hoping all goes well!! This morning one of my girls wasn't acting right and after only finding one egg I knew she probably didn't lay her egg this morning. She is doing better now...hope your girl has the same case.

I never found one but she was hiding in a bush so she might have laid one in there. I never looked cuz I have a broody right now and the bush was beside the the coop she was in..I would rather not bother the broody. How is your duck doing? What did the vets say?

I only spoke to the ER vet on the phone. They’re keeping her overnight then transferring her to my regular vet in the morning.

they couldn’t find anything obvious other than she apparently laid a soft shell egg.

they are doing blood tests and xrays to see if there is an underlying condition.

things are crazy these days that you can’t see a vet in person.

When one of my Runner needed to lay a soft shell egg she was off the whole morning hanging by herself and not moving much this went on most of the morning I finally decided to go an look her over and as soon as I started walking towards her she jumped up an left a large soft shell egg. She was back to normal after that. Hopefully your little one will be fine. Keep us updated.

A good update...my girl, Pearl, is doing well. She was transferred this morning from the emergency vet to my regular vet. She is getting calcium injections. I expect this will be costly, but I am taking all your incredibly wonderful advice on keeping the calcium glucanite (sic) on hand.
