I really dont know why, but hubs insisted on getting a rice cooker instead of a slow cooker when the last one broke. I have very limited space, so don't like buying stuff we don't use (often). I dont even know how to use it

We did okay, chickens are fine, we are one of the few houses with electricity. Lost the entire back fence (as did almost all our neighbors), lost shingles on the roof. DD is off school for the rest of the week, school as no electricity, DH has to work today and tomorrow. We were fine thru the eye, the back end of the storm got us.

I do not have a rice cooker but I do have a slow cooker (not a crock pot). I would not be without it.

No, they can perform the same function but I can remove the pan from my slow cooker and use the heat source as a griddle.

That would not be a wise thing to do. I do not want a rice cooker. I am perfectly happy with how my rice comes out using the cooking method that I use.

I am very, very poor about accepting gifts. So poor that I do not accept gifts.
