Yeah my parents are pretty good about not making me do way too much math most of the time. I'm better at learning stuff that I like though such as turkey/pigeon color genetics... which gives me an excuse to get more birds

Sounds like you have awesome parents. I totally believe in kids learning what they are interested in. (Yes, they need the basics, math, English, etcetera but after that learn what's interesting to you!) We spent a whole month learning about Kinkajous one time which turned into learning about where they are from and everything. Yeah, I'm a homeschool Mom geek!

That sounds cool! Last year we studied allot of geography and would make meals every night with a recipe from the part of the world we were studying. That was fun schooling.
