We've had several inches and our first snow days in a few years. It didn't get over 15 today, a week ago it was 70!

Look at the road through my windshield, it's solid ice under the snow. Next to my truck on the ground is ice too.

We are expecting it to snow more tonight and it will be below 0. Very unusual for us. El Paso Electric is doing rolling outages because they have lost close to 90% of their generators and are in bad shape.

Wow! Hope you dont lose power cause at below 0 degrees doesnt take long to freeze at all and if a wind chill will make it worse.

The wind is awful right now, I've got tarps up for the birds, dogs, you name it. I covered the outside kennel pen in canvass shelter halves, put a huge tarp over it and ran heat lamps out there. The trick is getting the dogs to stay in there, I closed the gate and one of the BC's pull the chain link off the bottom to get back out. They try and go through the window or the door if I try and keep them in the house.

Our wind chill is -18 right now according to the news.

Well someone slap me for wanting snow. The problem is we lost electric this morning early it will not be back up till Late tonight. Well I lost all my bator eggs and my parrot fish. Temp was 8 with wind hill of - 14.

Sorry to hear you lost fish and the eggs in the bator.

Today was 'dig a dog moat day'. There is so much snow in the backyard that my lab could just walk out of her 64 x 32 fenced in area. It might be a bit chilly out, but you sure don't feel it when you're throwing snow over your head.

I don't think she'll try to jump the moat. (crosses fingers..)

I'm sooo ready for Spring!!
