Near South Bend, IN we didn't get nearly what they were saying and I'm incredibly happy. I was anticipating waking up to a foot and a half of snow...but although we got quite a bit, it's not nearly as bad as other areas. The plows have already been down my road and the kids are out playing in it already. Phew!!

Hope everyone else stays safe and warm!

We got major ice last night, But it was 37* when I woke up still called off work. Now thw wind is whipping like we were at the North Pole. Snow drifting across the street right into the yard. I WANT SPRING AND THE SUN

I live just west of Chicago in DuPage County. We got 20" here. And now we are getting Lake effect snow so the totals have not been calculated yet since they will wait for that snow to stop. We had 50+ mph winds (up to 70!). Yesterday afternoon I put a bowl of food and a 1 gallon chick waterer in their house and locked the door. Can't get out the back door so good planning on my part. I also covered the coop with a tarp to give it extra protection. I have a temp/humidity probe in the coop. It is a warm 39 degrees inside! We are supposed to have the temps drop tonight and will have 20-40 degrees BELOW 0 tomorrow. I hope to get out there and let them out for a short time today and refill their food and water for tomorrow. Stay warm everyone and safe and if you don't have to go outside then DON'T!

Maybe I should enter mine in the Tackiest Coop contest?
