My QT pen. Its 3x3 and has a roosting pole. I keep it on the side of the house that my hens never go. All my new birds stay there 30 days.

Here is mine, built it myself. The birds are peafowl that I had brought from a breeder. The pen is 4x8x4. Its so easy to move it around.

My quarentine area.

Works pretty good. Of course, I never buy all ready grown birds. I have used my isolation area only for if a hen that is all ready part of the flock gets ill or for new babies.

I hate learning the hard way! One of my new birds had Coryza. Thanks to some advice I got on BYC, we made the diagnosis and will begin treatment today. We're also building a quarantine pen and was so glad to see some of the ones that ya'll have made. I LOVE this site!! It has helped me SO much and I've gotten some wonderful if not 'life saving' advice from some of you. Thanks so much!!

mine are the large metal dog crates for easy cleaning and they are moveable if need be. I quarantine any new birds for 3 months to see if something shows up.

Luckily I have this. It has three window with screen and electricity. It was already here when I bought the house. The Big Guy doesn't know it yet but he going to do the roof soon. It is 8 x 12 and 7 ft high.

It's sad that some diseases will not show up in 30 days (Marek's for one), and can't be tested for.
