Thanks, there's a thread on here with very indepth detail of how it' constructed, but all the pics are gone because I used the feature on this site for uploading instead of Photobucket........lesson learned.

It has .00001 ounces of waste per year because it doesn't allow the feed top-level to come anywhere near the openings after modifying the top of the feeder to adapt to PVC. And yep, them ol' big headed Bobs can get the feed out of it with no problem. I fill it from the top. Holds about 12 lbs. of feed.

Well, not really TD ........ There's a thread I started (I think it was "Bobs do like a natural hideout"), and I had a bunch of detail about these feeders. The pic posted is before I modified the feeder so the feed would not gravitate to the top of the opening rings. After I finished it, the feed comes nowhere near the top, and if a crumble is wasted, it's because the bird had it in its mouth and dropped it. They won't rake a crumble of feed out of this one with their beak PERIOD!

well, I am cutting mine some pine limbs tomorrow...sorry I missed the thread, and good thing my bobs can't see how their kin in Mississippi are living large, I would get bit like JJ does...

Well, not really. They don't get the Evergreen Inn & Suites in the warm months. You break that pine limb off this time of year, and it will be bare of needles in about 4 days. This is just a winter time luxuary for them.
