A sweet elderly lady gave me this, I really don't know her, but her daughter told her I had pet chickens and she wanted me to have it..

It is from her lifetime collection of similar items….and it was filled with candies

I see them in most antique/flea markets, but have never seen one with this much surface detail or as large as this one.

Me too, I love milk glass - most I have seen before have had added paint on the combs and wattles, but I prefer them "original".

Honestly I was really shocked to receive such a wonderful gift from someone I had never met. Have placed it with my blue and whites collection.

They have to earn their keep too, entertain me, dogs, thank you. Maybe I'll get some eggs from them, I have a feeling they would be brown eggs.
