Here's another:


The toothpick holder was my Mom's. Someone recently gave me the 2 smalls. She said they came with Red Rose tea. She thought it was British, but google search says they were give aways with Red Rose Tea - a Canadian tea. A little ole lady " downsizing" and thought of me 'cause she knows I have and love chickens..

Here's my cement garden chickens:

Please excuse the garden in backgrounds…too much rain lately and way behind getting it prepared and planted & poor DH, I decided to put in permanent bed & walkways this year.



The only rooster I will ever have, got it at a local antique/flea market for a steal..needs painting, weight is about 80 # Poor DH, after I got the roo last year, we moved it at least 3 times…Thank god for John Deere with a front end loader

And I had promised not to relocate it..haha. Moved it 3 X til it found the final location.




Another antique/flea market find, same place as roo, but a couple of years ago.. Also needs painting.





Hen and her 2 biddies were bought new at a cement art place nearby. Have had them in numerous locations….but I can move them by myself…

All do need a new coat of paint

And the jeans legs in photo are 'Crow = my permanent garden scarecrow….looks like he needs some new bluejeans

A little bigger than my palm? It's pretty big, so fragile, I wrapped it good <3

@sunflour , I like your garden chickens! I used to enjoy going to the concrete yard art places, haven't been to one in two years but you're making me want to go find one. That toothpick holder from your mom is really nice!

Desert sized plate, I use this as a spoon rest. Another antique/flea market find.

Used to have smaller real spoon rests, but DH does most of the real cooking and he would place 3 or 4 spoons crowded in one little rest. So started using saucers and dessert plates.

This is a Portugal stoneware plate by Bordallo Pinheiro. I have a blue rabbit theme platter I bought a couple of years ago that I love. Found 2 green dessert plates at the same booth last Fall - the other green one has a burlap textured center and flowers around the raised edges. I would love to find more from the same series, But all else I have found are pheasant and ducks - and I want chickens.
