Let's share our chicken decor!

drumstick diva,

How about those things you give away or donate, and then find the exact same thing at a bargain and buy it again

Or…you find a great item that will fit perfectly with one you have at home, and then after the purchase, remember you gave the first one away

Here's my egg basket, in all it's funky glory!

There's an old guy that lives near by, he works almost every day doing odd jobs. He hauls home anything that's "interesting" to him and anything he doesn't keep, he passes on to DH (DH likes "interesting" things too, lol). One day not long after our girls started laying, the old guy dropped off an egg basket he'd found somewhere. DH cleaned it up, had to rig up a handle for it, put chicken wire in the bottom to keep the eggs from falling out and lined it with burlap.

Ta da! One unique egg basket for moi!

I like that one Debby. Mine is just like an Easter egg basket but works great, I've always wanted a wire one though.

Thanks Patti! And your Easter basket sounds appropriate for egg collecting

Love it. It has character. I love stuff with history.

Now that's cool..

Beautiful hen, she looks totally content. I haven't been able to find any with sweet expressions - I'm picky. No crabby statues

Great one.

It is funny how we overlook items that we love, but tend to get too used to seeing them and no longer notice. IMO that's when we should move them around or regroup those things so we notice our own stuff.

Bet I'm the only one who ever found a great deal on an item and then discovered I already the same thing at home

Thanks everyone, on my little hen. On the subject of bargains, I got her for 25 cents!

I, too am guilty of getting stuff I already have -- in the case of groceries, stuff I already have plenty of!

Oh well, in the case of non-grocery stuff -- at least if you bought the same thing twice, it must mean you really love it (or it really loves you)...

Okay, here are some more. Like I said I got a little carried away. My family has been calling me the crazy chicken lady for years. (And that was before I got the live ones) I have them in the kitchen, the breakfast nook and the formal dining room. I love seeing everyone's pictures. Just an aside, they have some really cute Chicken/Rooster items at Kirklands. I have a store near me and look them up on line and then call them to see if they have it in store. I have ordered online and had no problems either. I seem to have a problem with fake and real ones.(chickens) I just keep buying them. Worse than potato chips.

YES. really eyeballing your furniture, you didn't get them for a few dollars. Did the chairs come with chicken cushions or did you trick them out?
