There are some really good ideas for painting gourds as chickens if you do a Bing search.

Last year I saw a woman at a craft sale selling gourd bird houses. I mentioned to her about painting them like chickens and she got kind of snooty with me and said she only makes bird houses and looked at me like I was nuts. She has no clue the market she is missing out on

I know! It did inspire me to plant gourd seeds. Bugs ate most of them but I have 2 good dry ones now and 1 really deformed looking one, lol. I need to see if I can do anything with them.
