Let's swap some seeds.....

I want a Nantes carrot or miniature. I got "Nantes coreless" this year and mixed the seed with dill, cucumber, arugula, and mustard seeds to make my own musclun mix, only to find out dill isn't compatible with carrots, and carrots have no tolerance of weeds!( never grew carrots before)

They also do not like nematodes. I am pretty sure you have them over there. I had great luck growing them in sterilized potting soil in a five gallon pot.

My garden is planted in grow boats,so I bought the soil. I have 128 sq ft of vegetable beds and preparing a new bed, I just got some beneficial nemotodes today but it said it sell by several days ago. Still hope they work, does anyone need everbearing strawberries? They sent out a ton of runners!

"Grow boat"? Is that like a type of raised bed? My DH is disabled, so that piqued an inquiry about a " boat"../ off the ground?

Lol you should have had some strawberries back in May when his ducks wiped out my strawberry bed.... I got 4 new strawberry beds out of it to say the least, he forked out quite a penny replacing those ; I needed runners badly lol :D

Yes it's a raised bed and it isn't shaped like a boat. Mine are 4'by 8', so 32 sq ft. I used to have ducks too, I had planted a succulent ground cover, in my landscape garden. The ducks almost destroyed them, now they still don't look so beautiful as they did!

My DH grows nothing but Champion, they can well, better fresh though ;).... I prefer Early Girl for canning whole, Juliet Roma for sauce... I'm trying both bush and vine in the Early Girl this year; so far, of course, the original is not failing me yet :D

I am wanting to find some Carolina Reaper pepper seeds...oh and if anyone has something better than purple organic radishes as pod radishes, I couldn't grow enough this year, and my seed stock is getting pecked into nothing...
I found out that puckerbutt pepper company has Carolina reaper:http://store.puckerbuttpeppercompan...hot-seeds/products/smokin-eds-carolina-reaper would get them but I read that another hot pepper was able to flavor 7 pots of soup! And that's not the hottest! I would have gotten some seeds and done a swap but it's to hot for me.

Great! Yeah, it started when my sister dared me to eat a Thai Chile when I was younger... She's the heat freak lol; DH suggested I make salsa and use habaneros(NOTHING is ever hot enough for her), but I knew there were hotter lol... A friend grew ghost chiles and used them in his repellant in place of cayenne... So 2 thingsbim wanting them for ;)

They're almost 1 million on the scoville heat scale, where habaneros are *only 200,000...

I can see that I'm probably going to end up in another stupid dare situation :D

Thank you! :)

Lol calling it a "boat", I was envisioning an old fishing boat on the ground :D

We use old tractor tires, turned inside out. My DH can't bend and stoop, so it helps him reach his beds easier... It gave me an awesome if not redneck idea, to go find old fishing boats withbholes (probably free) and sink them a foot into the ground.. Ha-ha it might work and give me something more to look at than tires everywhere :D
