Yes, he was. Wedge is one of my favorite characters. But because of Anakin's force abilities, he would most likely win. Anyone with the Force could be good at pod racing, but Anakin is part Force. He had more Force abilities than any Jedi in existence. That is why he was the "chosen one". He was supposed to bring balance to the Force, and did when he killed the Emperor.

There's videos on youtube about it. It makes sense, but if he was, they would've revealed that about him and qui gon jinn would have been more suspicious of him - and so would alot more jedi.
