Just joking:D

OK all I have a rooster that is white with feathers in the saddle, tail and neck that are barred. I hatched from an egg and I do not have the parent stock. What I bought was BCM, GCM, and solid (no copper) BBS eggs. Do any of you know what he may be color wise? He is all Marans type wise. I had thought he was splash but his color is barred not solid very strange. I did not keep the eggs seperate in the hatcher as I did not expect to have trouble with ID.

Amy, Rockinpaints also has Delawares if I'm not mistaken. The barring pattern on those chicks is very reminiscent of the barred ticking in Dels.

These hatched from echoinghill's eggs- and she got her stock from rockinpaints. She said there might be a "surprise" in there but I was expecting maybe one of her other pure breeds. They are fairly type-y for marans, its just that crazy color.....

Speaking of Delawares- I have to get some pics of my delarock project grow outs. I think I may have some pure dels with blue barring instead of black. And the older ones are so fat they could pass for cornish.

I would love to see pictures! Would you PM me some?

I'm especially interested in those Blue Barred birds.

Well my gold cuckoo girls laid there second pullet eggs today and I must say much darker than the first.

One is darker than the other but both still darker than my tannest orpington egg. can't wait for them to get a bit of time under them so I can hatch a few out and see what I get!

First pullet eggs on the left, then todays eggs.

I've been hatching my Golden Cuckoos and have finally gotten some chicks with feathered shanks not many though but I'm going to get a feathered shanked Rooster from Harris5 so maybe that will help I have 2 hens that lay these the oldest chicks are in the dinosaur stage....what a project because I'm not that patient but I'm hoping that I can raise some good enough to share...
