The more I look at her, the more I think you're right on girl. I've got what looks to be a male in the incubator, he was breech, so I had to assist. I'm really hoping he is a he and that he makes it! We already had another male that died just a few hours after hatching.

Out of 6 shipped eggs, only 4 were fertile (grrr!) and of the four that went to lockdown, so far I've just got one chick. So, I'm REALLY hoping this last one pulls through!

Don't feel bad, I set 26 shipped GC/Wheaten/Blue copper Marans eggs (sent on a Tuesday, arrived on Saturday

) and only 3 had live chicks in them at lockdown. It is day 21 and nothing yet. Might be a complete wash.

Hope your last chicks hatches and it is healthy!

Uggh, sorry to hear yours aren't going well! I know you were so excited about them!
Looks like it's gonna be a rough year for GCMs... I could barely find mine, most people have gotten out of them... Anyone actually having any luck this year??

Are they GCMs? Can I ask where you got them? I can't believe how hard it is to find them!

My little chick made it through the night! I know it doesn't look great in this pic, but it is actively using its muscles and letting out very healthy loud cheeps every once in a while. Still hasn't opened it's eyes, but I'm still hopeful it'll make it!

Yes, GCMs. My shipped eggs are from chickie .

I'm also going to try and hatch a few of my own. I have one rooster (Fitz Farm) and one hen, that unfortunately is cleaned-legged. I hesitated to use her, but her egg is very nice and she is the only hen I have. She came from Muddy Hoof Farm (downeast Maine). I don't know where she got hers, but I know she uses ebay sometimes.

I got these from someone in I think New Jersey. I wasn't very happy that she didn't test fertility before selling eggs. And communications with her where I offered to pay shipping to have two new eggs sent was fruitless. So I wouldn't recommend her...
I just checked ebay and there's several listings on there right now. Some look horrible quality! One of the listings is the lady I ordered from (she actually does have nice birds and egg color). If this last chick is a girl, I'll have to pick up on my search!

I can still send you eggs if you don't mind working on breeding out the yellow legs. buckabucka is aware of the problem and chose to buy eggs anyway. I still think the type on mine beats what I am seeing offered out there, so I am going to add a line without the yellow legs and try to breed it out. That is what the eggs I bought was going to do, but it looks like none will hatch. Day 22 and nothing. Good thing I have 3 day old Ameraucana chicks from Mrsbachbach's eggs and 9 of my Ameraucana eggs due to hatch tomorrow. I am not hurting for chick cuteness right now.

Girl, and... girl?? The lighter one is the new chick. Wish it was a boy, but despite the lighter color, I'm thinking it's probably another girl...
