Don't know about Alpine, but in North Alabama there is Rain.
Rain, rain, and more rain.
And just for a change, some more rain is coming.
In the next day or so, we'll probably get some freezing rain.
All the wood chips I refresh my run with are wet.
Because of the rain.
It's raining and running into the covered run.
My chickens' feet are damp.
They are drinking from muddy puddles.
They are getting more worms.
Because of the rain.

Eight months of a dry covered run, and only in the middle of what should be winter, when it is cold and damp and miserable, do I learn that I should have put in a French drain back when the weather was decent.

I grew up on Sand Mountain. Close to Tuscaloosa now.

Yes, raining here as well. Under tornado watch now but so far just a lot of rain.
