In roleplaying Dungeons and Dragons 3.0+ (2.0- didn't have this system) you roll a dice with 20 sides (abbr: d20) to see if you succeed or fail at the things you're trying to do. A 20 is an automatic hit and a 1 is an automatic really big darn miss.

But really, for eggs you should roll a d12. Unless you hens are stealin eggs.
