In your climate letting in sun is going to be a great benefit.

Often/usually the aborist will have a chipper.

That's how we got our huge piles of chips. Tree work on our property and tree work for my SIL a quarter mile down the road. They were glad to dump the chips here instead of having to pay to dump them elsewhere.

My guy does not. He is late 50s, hires help as needed and basically takes down trees. Chronic smoker even when he works, perhaps 5' and 120lbs, tough as nails, born in the woods to a woodsman father. Will climb a 100' tree with no hesitation. As I said a joy to watch.

Whie difficult to start it is easy to continue. I have had my tree guys in over the past three days to cut down trees close to buildings. I am left with a mess but also 15+ cords of wood that I will dry and burn over the next couple of years. These days I would have to pay almost as much as I spent to have the trees taken down as I would to buy cord wood so great deal all round.

Also have done my annual collection of fallen leaves to put in the run. Chickens are very happy!
