So this is my first time having backyard birds. I’m wondering if I should keep collecting her eggs or just let her have them to lay on. I have a male and female adult Swedish duck that was given to me. She has been laying daily and I don’t even know if they are fertilized I am just curious if she will try and hatch them. Also some of my chickens lay eggs with her egg. I’m wondering if it is even worth it to leave her nest alone and see what happens or just keep collecting them. Please anysuggestions would be great. I’m planning on getting an incubator next spring.

It all depends on if you want little ones running around. If you don’t mind, then let them sit. If you don’t have time or resources, then pick the eggs up daily. That’s neat your ducks and chickens sit on each other’s nest and a little funny.

Yes, it doesn't matter. Is the chicken Broody?..[/QUOTE

im not sure if they are broody. I don’t think so they will just lay eggs and leave I have a couple chcikens that will lay an egg with the duck egg and sit for a while if the duck isn’t sitting on her egg. And the duck has no problem sitting on the chicken eggs with her egg.
