LF Cochin mothering capacity?

What's the max number of chicks a standard cochin hen can rear? I posted in "raising baby chicks" but got no replies. Thanks!

those big butts can cover alot of eggs. but I don't usually give them more than 12. can you imagine trying to keep track of 30 chicks she'd go nuts. once they go broody they stay until the job is done. I have one that hasn't moved all day I think we have a broody in the making.

Well- she's sitting on 8 eggs- but I have 9 more in the bator. I was hoping to put those chicks under her when they hatch- so it'll be 17 or so depending on how the hatch goes. Eeek!
