LG problems...help!!

I'm in the middle of a hatch and theres something wrong with my LG. It was holding temps fine but 2 days ago it started having cold spots and hotspots. Its got a small computer fan blowing into the wall. Temps cold as 96 temps high as 103. I tried opening and closing vents. Its just not staballizing and i'm afraid my hatch is ruined. I finally used a water wiggler to make it to find the correct temps because my thermometers were all over the place. Anyone hear of this???

I have one, and they are pretty much known for temperature fluctuations.
If you have a fan, I do not have much advice for you, as I would usually

recommend getting a fan...Maybe get an automatic egg turner? It may help,
being you will not have to open and close the incubator. Maybe one of the
thermometers are 'off' and not reading right?

Do not give up on your hatch! Those little buggers can live through alot more
than you think they can!

Get it stable and in a room that has no fluctuations in temperature. Closet. Room with no windows, etc

Its in a stable room...and its not temp fluctuations throughout, its hot in one section and cold in another. Thats the weird part! It seems the back left corner is the coldest and front is the warmest.

That's odd. Because with a fan, it should be thorough.. Is there an obstruction on the side that's coldest, that is letting air out more readily? Lid not fastened on that side, etc...

You couldtry taping the sides... But be sure to watch the temp to make sure it doesn't spike...

I read your cheat sheet before this hatch and bought 3 thermometers that you recommended. I thought they may be off so before I did anything I rotated my thermometers and sure enough they all changed depending on where I put them. Then I checked for broken seals or anything so I rotated my lid. Sure enough the temp changed with the lid rotation. So I decided it had to do with the heating element. I turned the fan off this morning and now the temps are really low so I'm slowly adjusting them up. The top left side still seems several degrees lower than the other side even without the fan. Ughhh..if I killed this hatch too then I'm done! After I spent sooo much money building this extra incubator too! Oh and the fan is computer fan I installed myself. It seemed to blow too hard so I switched it to 5v for a light breeze. It was working fine then all of the sudden it wasn't. Last hatch, the temps were stable and all of the sudden my digital one was off by about 4 degrees. And I assumed it was the digital and went with the regular, but I think thats why they didn't make it. I got all these eggs for the worst hatch rate...and here I am screwing it all up again. I got half the eggs in my new untested incubator and half still in my LG. I pray pray pray some survive this. I candled them and it doesn't look good. The silkie eggs I put in on the 8th are clear, the eggs I put in on the 6th appear clear but are hard to candle. The rest had some development a couple of days ago and now I can't see anything in the few tha I had seen things. If an egg develops early and stops, does the veining and stuff disappear??? Uggghhhh!
