My girl definitely has a little hitch in her giddy-up, but she seems quite normal aside from that. I'm hoping she'll continue to improve without me having to put a bunch of extra stress on her.

Update on Ginny: My husband helped me wrap her toe so that the bottom joint(?) is taped closer to the toe next to it (moving the displaced toe into a more natural position), but she can still move the other toes, and roost with the flock. She seems to be doing quite well! Still walking weird (especially now that it's taped and bandaged), but eating, drinking, laying like normal. I'm keeping a close eye on her and will likely leave the bandage for at least a week.

We haven't had a frost yet here either, but it has been down to 37°F already. This week it's supposed to hit freezing overnight. It's supposed to be in the 80s in my part of Michigan this coming week which means more mosquitoes! It doesn't help that my property has a big (green) pond and is surrounded by woods - mosquito heaven up in here!! I told my husband we need more chickens just for mosquito control

! Fleas are worse than mosquitoes in my book. I don't know if we have chiggers around here... @Sally PB do we have chiggers in MI??
