Use a Foundation color 3 or 4 times lighter than your own skin tone. Foundation can be found anywhere cosmetics are sold. Apply a couple coats. And wear dark clothing, dark clothes make your skin color look lighter than it is.

Okay, thanks. I only ever use eye stuff and lipgloss (lipstick doesn't like me yet still), so I have no idea with the rest of the face besides don't use the wrong orange coloring

My Father was heavy into Black and White photography because the contrasts between dark and light can create huge drama.

People (mistakenly!) think B&W is "easier" than color photography. Nope, it is really more difficult to make a great image with B&W. The wet process is easier (developing the film and paper), the craft and art is not.

My photo prof told us that we would figure out pretty quickly if we were color or B&W photographers. I'm definitely a color photographer. B&W is a whole 'nuther realm.

I did black and white for 4H a couple years. Totally a color person when it comes to everything but birds. Birds I could do kinda nice in black and white.

Absolutely, Black and White is very difficult to work with! My dad was obsessed with it, it's definitely art!

Depending on the look you're going for, a tinted moisturizer might be a good option. It can even out the skin without getting "cakey". Many of them are also "buildable" so you can apply more if you want more coverage.

Oh that one looks familiar. I think I've seen it at Walmart (yes, I get stuff from there, the closest make up place is 90 minutes away) before.

It's not for everyday use, I just have a few characters who are paler than I am and I think I'm going to start doing their makeup occasionally for fun

Hands and face can vary in color, usually the face is lighter in color. So I'd hold it up to your face for comparison. Usually the color of the liquid is pretty darn close to what the ending color on your face will be. If you are looking for Halloween pale face, I'd go with the lightest color they have.

That was my initial thought. I just don't want to get a weird, powdery white again. I went as Stolas last year and used the make up pallet for Halloween and that was an absolute mistake
