LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

That being said, black Friday is was more my cup of tea than Thanksgiving. I really would rather not do Thanksgiving. It's awkward, the grandmother always chooses a very bad movie (I'm advocating heavily for game of thrones this year to change that pattern, as weird as it sounds), and there's too much food. I barely eat any, grandma and mom barely eat any, brother is usually gone and dad is on a diet so he doesn't eat much. There's no way for us to finish everything put in the fridge before it goes bad either.

Plus turkey... enough said about that.

I'm going to try advocating again for maybe rabbit or chicken or ham or really almost anything else that is actually going to be mostly eaten at least

If any of you have Netflix, I’d recommend watching Wendell and Wild that came out yesterday. It’s a movie with trans rep, entire main cast is BIPOC, critiques capitalism, and calls out the school to prison pipeline. But insanely important, the animation is so good and done by Henry Selick (who made Coraline) & Jordan Peele.

Oh I saw commercials for that a long time ago.

My family and I will be watching tonight! 🥰

Thanks for the rec!

I love that movies, TV, etc. are getting more inclusive and progressive! It really floats my boat! 😄

But I always make sure I'm extra patient and nice to people working
Thank you. I worked retail (long ago), and it was really appreciated when people were nice to us.
I also definitely make sure to tip where I can now because I know sometimes that is just a little bit of light in an otherwise crappy day
Hubby and I are good tippers too.
Gotta add that Black Friday, in general, kills me. I'm not Christian, so when I celebrate Christmas is more of a cultural thing. But I hate the idea that folks are expected to spend a bazillion dollars on a holiday. It's definitely become more about stuff and less about spirituality. It's a huge burden on me financially, physically, and emotionally. Huge. I imagine it's the same for a lot of people. I really hate Christmastime because of it.
Many years ago, hubby and I decided to cut waaaay back on Christmas presents. That helped with the stress of the season. Nowadays, we get ourselves something (big or big-ish) that we need, and that's our Christmas present. We have a couple friends that we exchange gifts with, but usually it's something homemade. Or even something we have that we don't use anymore that they can use.

I stay home on Black Friday. I can't think of any reason I'd go to a store that day.
