She's a Magpie, a breed my daughter loves and we lost two of our (out of three) last year. I've been trying to find more since.

They're one I want to make a pen of when I move. Maybe try to make some blue harlies

I used to live in Eastport, at the north end of Torch Lake. About 45 min north of TC. Lovely area.

And yes, I do know how DAMN lucky I was to live there. I couldn't afford a house on the lake now. Small "cottages" on tiny lots are half a million now.

Yeah. I'm mainly just looking for land and a house of some size to start. I can always work on the house later on if I want to update it. The land is more important to me than most things about a house as long as it's livable

I've been looking for a place in the States too, but my bf is sooooooo picky! That, and he's worried about the coming recession there. He lost a house before when the 2008 one hit.

I keep trying to get him to come here, but he's being stubborn >.>

I don't blame him, honestly. Looking through the different histories on the houses iveblooked through, several seemed to almost double in price From where they were being sold last year. I have to wait a few years to save up anyhow, but I'm kinda just waiting for prices to fall again

Not yet. There's a few counties in the area I'm looking at, I figured once I actively started looking (just browsing right now to see what things are costing), then I'd start looking more

I hope when they fall, that they don't CRASH, like they did in 2008. That was a very hard time for a lot of folks.

Just the western half of the lower peninsula. We lived in the tip of the thumb last time we lived there, which was like 4.5-5 hours away
