Doing well! Lost two dogs the latest couple of months, got a new puppy, and thankful I have space to roam with my toddler during this quarantine. How is everyone doing? I know this thread went dead for a while but I think we should at least try to keep it active
Oh my gosh, I relate to that so muchDoing pretty well. Obsessively rethinking every little option in my upcoming chick hatching venture.
Like, I literally haven't even gotten the incubator delivered yet and i'm so stressed! I think with the help of this forum though chances of success increase exponentially. I want little peepers!Oh my gosh, I relate to that so much![]()
I'm going to attempt my first hatch with fertilized eggs from my mixed laying flock. Americana rooster and hoping to get eggs from my barred rock, my leg horn, my speckled sussex and my wyandotte. It's just a big experiment. I ordered a Brinsea mini ii advance, should be here in a couple days. It fits 7 eggs. The chicken tractor i'm working on(planning phase) can handle quite a few more than that and my wyandotte is really broody right now too so I think I will try getting her to incubate a few starting on the same day. I'm looking to add a few hens to my layers and frying pan any cockerels. What are y’all hatching?!?! I just threw some eggs under a broody on Monday! She is not even a year old and doing super well.
Olive eggers, birchen marans, writing true blue! Cannot wait!!!!I'm going to attempt my first hatch with fertilized eggs from my mixed laying flock.
