im following your broody advice I have I don't even know how many broads I have right now and more on the way. I think there's at least three officially sitting, and at least two more clucking on the ground about to start.

I left my meat bird holdover on her fake nest for too long, but it's done her good. I think she has probably lost at least 30% of her weight. She looks virtually streamlined compared to her sister, and, she is still not too boney. She is the first to go into the broody breaker.

I have MISERABLE luck putting chicks under broodies, so, they're all getting broken.

Broodies, broads. PotAto, PotAHto.

Ah, wish I had the space and reason for an LGD, alas, I don't and my three dogs are handful enough. I'm still training my "puppy" (he's 14mo) herding dogs, so we've got a ways to go before our next critter.

He likes chasing balls, chasing sticks, chasing rope toys, and putting his face in both dogs and peoples faces to get them to play.

He dislikes hats, strangers, the sound of keys, head pets, and taxes.

His favorite snack is soft bacon cheddar bites. He dislikes leafy greens.

I've always thought it so amusing how offended dogs can get about hats. Do they think the hat is some kind of predator, trying to eat my head? ...or is it that the hat obscures my face, and the dog thinks I'm trying to hide from them? It's such a funny reaction they have.

He is VERY cute. He's also a whiner. The whiniest dog I've ever owned, and he barks and howls at anything that startles him - which includes keys, tax envelopes, strangers and hats.
He's suuuper smart at learning commands. But also entirely inept at being a normal dog.
We love him though. And we're hoping that as he gets a bit older we'll be able to teach him to herd the chickens into their pen. That may take some serious time, though. He's got the instinct for it but not the confidence, control or patience.

They are! XD That was my sisters reaction when I brought him home and sent her the photo too. They really do get along great too, he really fits in with the other two dogs EXTREMELY well. I've not seen them so consistently happy in years.
