I never expressed like or dislike. I simply asked a question. If you feel that question is offensive or judgemental maybe you should examine yourself.

Still, it was explained in the beginning of this thread why we opened it.
Sorry if it came off wrong, I have really high anxiety and I tend to over exaggerate things on this topic when it could potentially be offensive, it’s hard to tell without being able to hear your tone to see if there was sarcasm or judgement in it

We are not judging you, but observing. @Gunleather was mentioning that there is no need to segregate yourself on a farming website/forum. This is not about sexuality. This is about "backyardchickens.com". If you'd like to make a group for yourselves, go right ahead, but just not on this website. It doesn't make sense.

I have homophobic parents, I don’t get access to any social media’s or anything like that because of that, so this is kind of a way to be able to find encouragement and support

I am not a member of the LGBT community but I have met some great people on this thread. And if I am ever able to offer a few words of encouragement to someone who needs them then I consider that time very well spent. Further, Nifty and the mods have no issue with this thread so why should anyone else?

I have found that not reading between the lines helps tremendously in trying to decide about the authors tone of voice. Most will let it be known in what they right. Stop worrying about what others think it is up to you if you are happy in this life, you will find out (if not already) that most others could care less.

I don’t get access to other websites due to homophobic parents, I’m guessing other people probably have the issue, also apparently there are a lot of lgbtq chicken owners…

Glad you were able to find some community support. That is something we all need but sadly it is much harder for some than others to find acceptance

Luckily I found an entire school that’s either part of or supportive of this community, but it closed due to COVID

Why not this website? It has a social forum where all are free to make and join new groups and discuss any topic that is not against the rules.
