Hey ya'll, exciting news at our place today--we got our VERY FIRST EGG! Came from our Calico Princess hen Traci that we got as a chick in August. We also have one more calico princess and an australorp we got at the same time, but the other two girls are a little behind in their development (their wattles are getting redder, but their combs are still small and pale).

The wife and I ooh'd and awe'd over the egg, took a bunch of pictures, told all our friends, and then promptly fried it up and split it to eat over some toast.
