LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I bet they are
I think white feathers are pretty, but I'd love to have more kinds in my little collection.
I do hope to have chickens sometime in the future, I have my eye on a few really pretty breeds. So maybe I'll get a chance to steal a few feathers that they drop 😂
Highly recommend Cornish bantams. Honestly probably even beat my pheonixes (barely though) in terms of favorite breed

Debating getting muscovies. I really, really want to. They're something I can work on in my flock, and theoretically could take them with me when I move. Just.... haven't decided yet
Oh musovies are at the top of my list, they're gorgeous aren't they?
My plan is to move/get more land within the next year or two. By that point I'll be getting a couple more ducks, probably a couple welshies or pekins, whichever are around needing new homes- and I really want some musovies
. Then somewhere down the line, chickens. Which will be a shared responsibility/adventure with my mum. She's always wanted some hens.

I can't wait to build my flock.

What birds do you currently have?

Just chickens and a quartet of ancient coturnix. Had ducks several years ago, but a dog killed them all unfortunately. Used to have a turkey too, but he was a BBW and was over 3 when he ended up going.

Current plan is to maybe get 8 muscovies and 4 runners (all st run unfortunately). The runners are small enough that if I happen to get all girls, they could probably end up going with a chicken group (or their own pen if I ended up with just one boy). But I'm debating getting pekins instead (I loved my girl, she was awesome) incase I don't get enough/any muscovy females since I'd imagine that they'll be close enough in size it would be okay, even if they didn't make fertile offspring

Ducks are a lot of fun, it's a shame you lost your last flock! I'm sorry for your losses.
I wish you the best of luck with your plan! Either runners or pekins sound great, both breeds are pretty good

Yeah, I loved my ducks. My Pekin gal won best female duck a few times. I missed them.
