Remember last time when she cracked that infertile egg and then yelled it out of the nest? It seems like she's really in-tune and her instincts are strong

Signs of a good broody! A good momma knows if there is life in an egg.Remember last time when she cracked that infertile egg and then yelled it out of the nest? It seems like she's really in-tune and her instincts are strong

You are definitely correct, she started out slow but she is now in full broody mode and very trustworthy to care for herself and her babies!I'm so thankful my first ever broody is such a good one! I know I can fully trust her with chick rearing and egg brooding!

I think most broodies go through that phase of learning early on....getting off eggs for too long or staying on them too long ignoring their health. Some abandon eggs half way through, some even kill babies. I think Cruella was born to be a mom, she caught on fast!Yup! Her blonding phase scared me, but she ended up being such a good mom

Me too!I think she's an amazing mother too. She really enjoys it. I hope she's got a lot of years in her to keep doing what she likes![]()
Auntie mode?My older hens have been confusing me lately. 2 of them have been chirping to the Seramas whenever I throw out scraps.
