Oh, I know those Mammillaria sp. aren't usually very big, so I think you can count them like bantam chickens... You know, like you only bought a little more than one cactus (not even cacti, don't even go there) lol.

Lovin your Euphorbias.

Is this even the same plant? I think it's grown since the last time I saw it. Is everyone accounted for over there? This plant could be the culprit, 😄 .
Cacti/succulent math... It's like this...

🤣

If my Euphorbia is eating my other plants, who's next ... ME?! 🤣

Oh they’re all so beautiful:love!

The euphorbia will hopefully grow like crazy over the next year!

I’ve kept both of those mammillaria species, though only one (the one on the right) in a pot. Super easy.
The other one is such a gorgeous one, I have it growing outside, and I actually forgot it existed until I bumped into it a few weeks agoView attachment 4228497
Gosh, what a cute little surprise! Looks quite autumn-y and calendar appropriate. All the contrasts of colors, the greens to the reds to the whites, are very nice.

Although I will say, please be careful while driving. I hope I am speaking for most in this thread (and on BYC in general), but we would miss you terribly if something went wrong:hugs!
🙋‍♀️ x2 of course

Mama hen's babies will be getting dropped off at the auction on Wednesday.
And before anyone tries asking about this, when I first got her babies I had no intention of keeping them once they were old enough to leave her.
It actually works out because my dad has some errands to run up by the auction anyway so I asked him about taking the birds so he'll be driving us there after his errands.

I mean, ... yeah.. 🤣. First we talk plant intervention, then we're talking plant intervention

It's just a slippery slope, I mean, you've already surrounded yourself with hungry Euphorbias, so I'm pretty sure the slip has sloped. 😅:lau

No, don't listen to me, I love them 🫶. Send them my love (I need to stay on their good side. 😄)

One can say that every single thing we post on a social media platform and/or online forum is oversharing.
This thread has been a safe space for many, and for just as many reasons.
I don’t see why your case would be any different.

Hugs from me as well :hugs :hugs :hugs

:goodpost:
Thank you for your grace! I feel as though I am old and wrung out enough that I should be in the "been there--done that" category in terms of life's lessons learned and self improvement, but, we're obviously still learning how to steer this gocart to the finish line with no regrets. You have truly been a gem and are appreciated, so thank you again!

I’m very sorry. This year has been hard on a lot of us :hugs
Oh I have absolutely no idea what she is! She was purchased
Speaking of the weather, we’re in October now! There isn’t an exact English translation for the phrase, but I hope this will be a great month for all
❤️🧡💛🤎

Ok so maybe it's a Mammillaria rhodantha? That's what it says on the label of the new middle cactus. I didn't notice that the spines are curved on yours, I bet that's what you've got too! Nice! :highfive:

Yes you need more Euphorbias, I am finding them fascinating for some reason, I just want more of them! 😁

Your flowering Lithops are gorgeous, 😍 I've been staring at mine and nothing is happening! Mine didn't flower until November thru January last year so I expect they aren't going to do much until then. My Mammillaria plumosa has a big flower with 6 or 8 more pushing up too, I'm hoping my Thimble Cactus will flower soon too.

Enjoy your flowering plants! 🌼

Hmm, looks a lot more like that, yes. I guess we’ll see if our two plants start having more differences as they mature, but right now they look very similar.

Maybe I’ll have a late blooming year like you! The lithops are being awfully quiet here.

The only plant flowering is the gymnocalycium. Constant bloomers, those guys.
Hope you’re enjoying yours!

I think a death by euphorbia would have something to do with their acidic, milky thing :p .

Some people have strong allergic reactions to those, so we do need to be careful when they start excreting it

I read about a landscaper (on a cactus/succulent forum) that had a job to prune an outdoor Pencil Cactus a Euphorbia tirucalli. He didn't know anything about the Latex inside the plant being toxic. He got it into his eyes and went permanently blind. He said it was incrediblely painful and was telling everyone to throw out their Pencil Cacti immediately. So definitely be careful with the sap, supposedly it irritates the skin too, I've gotten it in my skin and it has never bothered me but I do wipe it off as soon as I can. And never touch your eyes if it's on your hands.
