Lice killer?

Hi everyone! I'm only doing this as a precaution, but I was wondering if lice killer would be safe for chickens in case of leg mites? I read this online somewhere. Since it is safe to use on human skin, why not chickens? Thanks!

?? Not sure what you are talking about. Leg mites are a pain, and need to be treated only if present. Do your birds have them? How do you know? There's no 'preventative', only treatments if they are present.

I know, I meant in case. I wanted to add it to my first aid kit.

For a few birds, coating each leg with vasoline works; I've never had to do it, fortunately. other folks will have better ideas, I'm sure. Ivermectin, but not approved, and ages out in your drug drawer.
