Lice lice and all things nice (or not as the case may be), what to do?

I've just noticed two of my pullets have tiny little light brown coloured lice crawling over their skin. The chickens seem to be completely unphased. Is it normal for chickens to have some degree of lice regularly?

I've read spraying the chicken's skins with apple cider vinegar with water will kill the lice off...is this true?

What other techniques do people have for getting rid of lice please?

My head has gone itchy just writing this post 🤣

Diatomaceous earth in all their dust bathing spots and coop is what we use! Also, if it is bad, a manual powdering of the infection sites.

Apple cider vinegar in their water may discourage them, I know it works on flies.
