Lice on Chicks?!

I have had chickens for 6 years now and only use food grade DE as their parasite prevention. My chickens have never had any infestations or related problems. I also add some to their feed, and they like to dust bathe in it, as well. I can't recommend DE enough!

It's just fine powder to us, but shards of glass and razor blades to nasty parasites

Wow, that is really interesting. I know you aren't supposed to breathe it as it is glass to the lungs, what about the chickens lungs? Guess it is okay?
