Lice on free roaming rooster?

Today while petting one of my roosters I seen little bugs on him that I originally thought were mites but turned out to be lice. I don't know if the others have it as well since I keep all my hens in a coop away from the roosters but how do I kill them on him? Is there some home remedy I could use or maybe some good product I could get from tractor supply? I'm planning on going tomorrow for some feed and whatnot so Id be able to pick up whatever else I need for the lice

Permethrine based powder or spray, it will be back with the fly sprays for horses.
Clean out the coop completely, throw away or burn the litter. Apply product to coop and birds.

I would dust him and the hens with a Permethrin based poultry dust. Put the dust in a sock and use it like a powder puff, dust around the vent, under the wings, along the abdomen, etc. working the dust all the way through the feathers down to the skin. Repeat dusting in 5-7day intervals for a couple of weeks.

For the coop, get a bottle of Permethrin10, a spray bottle or garden sprayer. Mix the Permethrin10 at a rate of 5ml per quart of water in the sprayer. Clean out bedding, spray your coop/roosting bars/nesting boxes, etc. Lice usually live on the body of the chicken but sometimes can be found in the housing too as they hatch/move about. Spray the coop/housing, etc. again in 5-7days.
