Lice on pigeon?

Our recently acquired pigeon has lice. What is the best product to use on her?

I think a Permethryn based spray is safe and quick acting.

I like to use Permethrin, I just mist the recommended dilution rate under each wing, and in the neck feathers. It doesn't get rid of them all, but it is very difficult to get rid of all of them. It does keep them in check though, so that is doesn't bother them.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure that what you use on chickens is ok for pigeons.

Sounds good! Should we do the chickens at my friend's house for good measure? There hasn't been direct interaction but the pigeon sometimes perches on the chicken coop, and they free range in the same areas.

Oh yeah, great if you already have some for your chickens just use that. Give him a quick spray under wings and tail.

We don't have any for chickens right now, but I wasn't sure if the products that are marketed as for chickens would be fine.
