Does anyone have pictures of lice? I found very tiny tan bugs on a hen I was treating for long toenails and possibly bumblefoot. They more fast and many ended up on ME, in my hair! Would like to know what the lice look like.

There are two tipes of lice blood sucking and itching lice I am not familiar with chicken lice if they are the same or not. Treat the chicken with Diatomaceous earth. Comb every day put it on morning and night.👍🏽

Some people swear by DE. I personally think it's useless, I have my reasons which I have posted in other threads. I use permethrin and have had great success with it when needed. You can get it in concentrate, premixed sprays and in poultry dust. I use the poultry dust in the nest boxes. The bonus is that there is no egg withdrawal period so the eggs are safe to eat. Whatever you use, good luck...

Google "poultry lice" to see pics.
Don't screw round with DE, get some permethrin spray or dust and treat all your birds.
I believe that permethrin is the active ingredient for most human head lice treatments.
