So Friday I'm picking up that earth dust stuff to putt in shed and boxes, ECT. My chickens have lice, plus they peck each other so I purchased chicken saddles. I'm gonna dust them with that powder. If I can't rid them of it should I cull them? Can u eat chickens that had lice? There 4 RIDs and one frizzle(alone).

Let them dust bath or figure out how to give them baths... I would not cull them.

I'm sure treatment will sort it
My cats always get fleas I just keep treating them, unless in every let them out it would be so hard to eradicate them completely

You don't need to cull them for lice. I'm not sure which dust you are picking up, but either Pyrethrum Dust or Sevin Dust will rid them of lice. I always keep a flat box of wood ash in my coops for my chickens to take dust baths in. Not only does it help prevent lice, but the chickens love it. In answer to your last question, yes you can eat chickens that have had lice.

So I tried the bating methods... Cost me a hen 2 night. my old frizzle hen I've owned for a month now died 20 min ago. I bathed her, and blow dried her to warm her up... She came to me with lice and leg mites. I rid the leg mites but recent found the lice and she gave him to my girls. She hasn't been eating much alot lately and was look more sickly the last few days... RIP my Susie Q
