I trained 2 kids and they both tried to kill me at least once. If I had not taken the wheel we would have had a head on collision when my DW dropped her rt wheel off the shoulder and over compensated in a construction zone. My DS who was much better from the get go tried to go down the wrong side of a divided 4 lane city street during a heavy downpour.
Experience is very important, but so is level headed thinking that comes with age.
To the OP. Have fun. A whole new world has just opened up for you. Please be careful and be patient. Always make sure everyone has stopped before you proceed on a green and don't trust people coming from your left with their right turn signal on. Try to remember that at least 50% of the people on the road with you aren't using their brains. They are driving on autopilot.
