Liege Fighter crosses

Wow, that is a beautiful bay red color she has.
Makes it easier to tell the liege and crosses. A lot of them have red foreheads

This is a Liege x Hmong chick. His Mom is the splash Liege hen and his Dad is a 12 lb black copper Hmong. The last photo is Dad standing next to a full sized Isbar rooster. It’ll be interesting to see how he turns out! 🙂

Never heard of Hmong before but I like that cross. He looks pretty wild looking I really like it lol if punk rock was a chicken.

I have a few weird cross chicks at the moment. Blue Liege hen with Splash laced red Wyandotte rooster. Wasn't intentional but my only 2 blue hens took up with him. They looked like blue Liege at 1st but as they grew I realized no tail feathers where the full Liege chicks tails are about 3" long at this point lol

Here are my little weird no tail Liege Wyandotte crosses. Figured I'll let them grow out a little. One of the splash chicks has me wondering if it's a cross because of a little tan on one feather on its back that's the same color as the red Wyandotte roo. I've never had a splash Liege so not sure. I assumed the 3 splash chicks were full Liege at first because I have both a blue Liege hen and roo.

Heres a new addition to the Liege cross project. First Phoenix cross that has the long tail and wasn't some kind of weird all red pattern. Only 2-3mo now so still has some filling out to do.

Update on the Liege x Hmong. Here are some pics of him at 12 weeks old. He is a MONSTER already! 😂 His name is Bahamut.
Yea he looks big already, much bigger than my phoenix cross lol. I've had crosses that take after the Lieges size but they've all had weird solid brownish red coloring and no long tail. I'd like to cross my new guy back to the Liege hens. Especially now that I have a couple of up and coming splash hens in the mix. Old picture but this one filled out fairly well and she's about laying age now.
