Skylene hadn't meant to hurt Lake so badly, just give him a few scratches, but after knowing he had killed her best friend... That changed things. "So I suppose you're going to demote me and all that important punishments," Skylene said, ignoring his warning about respect.

"He was my best friend before I came here. He saved my life more than once before and I saved his. We travelled, looking for a home. And we were almost here when that horrible excuse for a dragon, Lake, killed him. We could have had a life together, here, surrounded by other dragons." she snarled.

Toothless hadn't expected this from her and was taken aback by the story ," Im sorry for your loss.." he says kindly ," I'll be thinking about who will take your place and if that doesn't happen then you wont be as lucky next time . And go see if lake is ok "
