life expectancy for ducks

They do at least have a feed specific to waterfowl. I can't tell from that label if it's a waterfowl feed since that one has a picture of chickens on the front. That doesn't always tell you what the feed is if you get a large bag. The language looks like Dutch or Flemish. From looking at the Deli-Nature website, it looks like the one named water birds 2 is what you'd want. Is that what you're using?

Chick meal that's what's written ... I couldn't find food esp for ducks in Jordan !!! Although other pets food is available except for ducks! So they keep telling use chicken food? I can get food imported from USA by courier just give me a name for a healthy natural brand to get I would really appreciate this !

If it's a boy duck I think that what you have is fine so long as the percentage of calcium is less than 2%, though maybe you might want to add some niacin (B3) since ducks need more of it than chickens do.

Shipping 50 pound (22.68kg) bags from the US would be very expensive, right?

I compared your feed (chick meal) with mine (watervogelkorrel/waterfowl pellet)

Chick meal Waterfowl pellet
Crude protein 19,4% 15,4%
Crude fat 4,0% 5,5%
Crude ash 6,0% 7,3%
Crude fiber 5,0% 7,0%
Calcium 0,90% 1,25%
Phosphor 0,56% 0,65%
Natrium 0,18% 0,14%
Lysine 1,00% 0,68%
Methionin 0,47% 0,42%

I don't think it's really unhealthy, the protein is higher because your feed is for baby chicks. Kinda weird to see Dutch on your package. Sadly the brand I feed can't be ordered online, and most webshops don't ship worldwide, only within Europe.

By the way, your duck is super cute!

The brand I feed is from a Dutch store with the same name (Welkoop), so it's not in Australia. But I'm sure there are other good brands available there! There are Australian members on BackYardChickens, hopefully they can help. Maybe open a new thread?

Yes he is so adorable!
