Oh! I married the most wonderful man in the WORLD!!

He gave me an early Christmas present yesterday!

My family on my mothers side was having a reunion yesteday, we get together and play our music (bluegrass), visit, eat, show off pictures, young'un's, eat, play music, etc...

Him and my brothers (3 out of 4 got to go)...there are 7 of us young'uns...anyway, they went shopping, and they had been gone since we had gotten back (my sisters, mom, and myself) from Friday morning early shopping...we got there at 3:00am... I know, it's crazy...anyway...
He shows up at the building mom had rented, I'm busy serving food, pouring glasses, chasing littleones, and talkin....

in he comes and he is carrying a BANJO!

I borrowed one from my cousin, she preferred her guitar, kept it for awhile, and haven't been able to purchase one since....till yesterday...

I'm charging my camera batteries...we got home just alittle while ago...and wow! so excited! The Rev. really can surprise me when he wants too!

My little eggs are doing beautifully, temps holding steady, and now... is there a thumb twiddling smillie? hmmm.....
Oh, I just had to share it with ya'll!

Whoo Hoo! I'm finished for this semester! AND....(drum roll...)
I aced the finals....took the last one today! Soooo happy!
We've been ill around here, it's hard to study when your sitting up late with sick ones, then getting up in the night with them too!

Poor things, we are on the uphill side of this junk! The Rev. came down with it last night, I'm wondering if my head will ever clear up....my son asked me today...
he shook his head, and said..."mom, can you hear me?" Yeah....

Gosh I'm excited! I KNOW I made at least a 96 on the test this morning, and on my final paper, it was good....

There were 2 true and false questions that had me checking in my head...so I could have missed both, just one, or none...

Now, no classes till January!
I feel like I haven't heard anything from anybody lately...I just haven't had time to talk! You know me....

We are turning the eggs faithful, checking temps (which are holding steady in my LG) and replacing water ever so often. Not candling. Found I don't like it with the last 2 batches...just would rather wait and see.

We've been worried about the economy, does this trouble anyone else? Arkansas is REALLY being hit hard...factory after factory is closing, or laying off....in fact, my sister has a church member who has been laid off from Tyson after....33 YEARS of catching chickens! Yeah, that's big.
The latco factory at Lincoln, the Tyson processing plant in Noel, MO... Van Buren had a big factory lay of 957 tuesday...that's on top of the over 3000 workers that Whirlpool has been letting go for the past year! Of whom, many still have not found jobs! That's not even all, of the factories, jobs, etc...that have been hitting. Down here at McGehee, Riceland laid off 300 folks...and for this poor area....the poorest in the state of AR...that hits hard.
Well, on that cheery note...I've got supper to fix. Fixed a quick homemade chicken noodle last night...quick.

The ParsonsWife Chicken Noodle Soup

1 pkg egg noodles
2 cans cream of chicken (don't ya love that stuff?!!)
1 can chicken broth
1 can of canned chicken...or any type you have on hand...dump it in the pot!
Salt and pepper to taste....

Keep on low to med heat, till noodles are soft....we actually felt like eating once it was done.

I am blessed. So blessed. Saturday night and last night our choir went Christmas caroling. To two nursing homes and then a retirement center. And on Saturday we then went to Pine Bluff to see the lights...they have, it says, the largest outdoor Christmas light display in AR. It was lovely....we had the van filled to capacity, plus another vehicle full...

Last night was the Christmas parade, which we didn't get the float together,

but next year...definitely!
Then onto carolling! This is my favorite thing to do...those dear, dear residents at the nursing home were just so very tickled to see us...held onto us, and begged us to come back and visit, which I will.
At the first nursing home, Saturday night, there was a young woman with twin girls visiting her husband....he had been in a car accident, and he was, 'mentally and physically', no longer with them....broke my heart. The little girls were 18mths old. We never know.
One gentleman at the nursing home last night wanted to play his guitar with us...I told him..."you better go get that guitar, or I will be mad!" He was so excited...if we just take time for others, even just small efforts, they really do mean so much.
My eggs are waiting....we are waiting.....they are due Wednesday! May hatch on Thursday, the temps had sank to 99* one night. I have noticed the temp fluctuating causes a delay in hatch. Anxious

Here are photo's from last night. I would loved to have taken more, just hard to lead the choir, sing, snap pictures, etc...

The man in the nursing home is in a red cap next to one of our choir members who was showing him a chord on the guitar, this was not all of our choir, just some who got to go...and then one of a couple who help witht he music...and my little girl....our choir members are now sick with what we had here at the parsonage...anywhoo....

At least one is alive! Not staying up...got to much going, we'll see what the morning holds...
