Life from the Parsonage - A Journal of our Journey.

Gwen thanks for the update. I have not been getting on much as I have been getting ready for my surgery. I only had 3 weeks to get ready and that time has flown and I only have 1 week left as of today next monday I go in for it. The surgery isn't a biggy for me but being laid up for the 2 or 3 weeks they don't want me to leave the house might drive me crazy. But after I get my new knee things should go fast and I am looking forward to walking without falling on my face.

What a great find on the books and what a sweet man to get them for you, you really are blessed to have a husband that cares enough to go that extra mile.

Hey Ozark still keeping you and yours in my prayers.

Praying for you all. Enjoy life it is so short.

Zookeeper....wondering how your surgery went?

Life has been busy here, so, I guess about normal.

The Rev. had a birthday, and we went bowling, some of the church folk got to go...so that was even more fun. I have never bowled, just never had. I had been a coupla times, but didn't for different reasons, so I was really looking forward to it. I bowled a strike. 1. But I will certainly take it!
lol.png

It was a miracle shot too...was rolling down the gutter, when it hit something, popped back up and layed those pins flat!
ya.gif
No one would have believed it if they hadn't have seen it!
My son bowled 2 strikes, my husband 2 (but he had the most points) and Sissy got 2 spares....what fun!
I'm so thankful for my family, how I love them.

Most of the state has been snowed under, however, it didn't make it this far south....the cold did! We have 2 new additions to our farm....Doodles (Pickles pup), and Royale (Joyful's pup)
The arrived last Sunday (I know-great timing!

) Sweetest little lump of sugar you ever saw! FAT!! Rollypolly's!
Valentines banquet is coming up, and there is 'romance' in the air! The Rev. has something up his sleeve, and he has the church members in on it...hmmmmm

Rolling romeo and Loyal Loyd are after the same girl....wild wanda...she announced she would go with them both....that didn't go over very well!

Not sure who will escort her, but they both want solo attention...he he he
Quite happy with my crocheting...coming along nicely...made a little hat and booties for my newest neice...and completed several others. Taught two other ladies in the church (that sounds so strange, I used to think I could never...LOVE it!) and made 100% on 3 of my test last week...scored 89.7% on one....I thought I should have had a hundred....gotta see what happened!
The children are growing by leaps and bounds, and I wonder how we got here so fast?
Well, I've still got much to do, including lessons.
ya'll come

Nice to see you posting again, Gwen! I heard from Jean and she is on the mend. Need prayers for her pain but she knows an end is in sight for her. She is slowly mending.
How cool to see the fun your family had bowling. You must tell the Rev. it was a miracle that ball jumped from the gutter to make a strike.

Now that was funny.
Another byc member taught me to crochet throw rugs and it is such fun but def a winter activity as it is too heavy for your lap

Thanks so much for thinking of me Gwen, I am doing very well. I live with pain and it won't go away but I manage. I am how ever doing beyond great where my knee is concerned. I am at 4 weeks today, where they don't expect you to be till 12 to 18 weeks. They fear that I will over do it because I am doing so good. I already have a bend of 96% and that is beyond great. I started with a bend of 125% which is unheard of with a bad knee but I use it so I don't loose it and just grit my teeth and do it LOL most people have a 110% bend.

The PT told me today that I will get that 125% bend back as I am over the moon ahead of where I should be.

Power of prayer, thanks so much for the prayers.

Glad to hear you are having fun and that Valentine's day went so good. Thanks again for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts. Been a little shy of boards as on the pain pills ya never know what you might say LOL.

Ok, Gwen have you been able to sign back in?? I haven't heard anything from you in response to my email with instruction for getting back into byc??? Want to know what the Rev. did for you for Valentine's Day!

The cropdusters are back!

Somehow, our calendar revolves around the planes.
Everything has been in an 'upheaval' lately, lot's going on and NO time to get them done.
Have you ever felt like you were on display? That's the way it feels when you try out at another church...seems like they ought to poke ya, prod ya, and make you open your mouth so they can look at your teeth. It's a very nerve racking experience! If the children misbehave, oh, and they will!....then you can count on lot's of 'ideas' about that!!
Yes, it's true. We are beginning plans to make a move. A different church. Right smack dab in the middle of school and college....but I'm not complaining.
Don't really mean to complain about trying out at other churches either, but it really is nerve racking.

I don't know where to start or even how I could take the time to tell you what has been happening, but one thing for sure...it's not been slow!!

Been at the hospital with Rolling Romeo, he fell an broke his foot in 2 places, the Rev. is up there now, waiting for surgery to finish.
My little neice has been informed by the doctors that her baby is missing part of his little arm. They are going to do a level 2 ultrasound Thursday, and the children and I are going to be with her (the Rev. can't get loose) ...she has asked for moral support....sometimes the docs can be intimidating.
I can't wait to hug and kiss on that little baby boy...goodness...the line will be a mile long to squeeze him....I have a HUGE family!!

My son has joined cub scouts and they are in the process of a 'derby'!! My husband and son came home the other night and immediately began the process of building the 'ULTIMATE" derby car! lol Not sure which one was more excited!
Then last night after we left the hospital...my husband informed me he needed a 'tool' to work on that car...Who knew a $3 derby car required a $100 tool??
lol
Seems it needs all kinds of things....

sigh...I'm glad, really glad it's Friday. I've got so much to do, and teaching school and the stuff I have to do doesn't work well....kinda tired, sun is shining, and I may plop down in the ole easy chair...
(well, it's a nice thought anyway)
Here's a nice thought....March 27th...will be married 17 wonderful years! (I was in diapers when I got married!!lol)
will keep you updated as best I can...but some days....whew!

I'm so glad to be back!! SO MUCH has happened!! I scarely know where to start! We moved to another church, and just got moved into the parsonage. So far, I have not been able to build a new coop here, or bring in my chickens, but soon!! We have been working so hard on the parsonage, & now the church. SO MUCH to do, SO LITTLE time!
We miss our precious congregation from our last church, but God has given us a heart for our new congregation. The new work. God is faithful!
I just wanted to say hello, will try to write more later.
